What Halo is

Halo is a privacy-first phone service operated by Block Apps LLC, based in Nashville, Tennessee. You get a real US phone number with unlimited talk, text, and 5G data, plus the privacy work most carriers leave to you: minimal data collection, identifier rotation, SIM swap protection, network lock, and two encrypted secondary numbers included with your plan.

One plan. One price. No contract. We built Halo because your phone should work for you, not against you.

What we believe

A few things guide every decision we make:

  • Your attention is yours. Unknown callers and spam should not have direct access to you.
  • Collect less. We keep the minimum we need to run the service, and we say plainly what that is.
  • Say what is true. We do not dress up marketing as magic. We explain what we do and what we cannot do.
  • Privacy is the product. We charge for service, not for the right to sell your data.

The network we run on

Halo runs on AT&T's nationwide 5G and 4G LTE network. If you have AT&T coverage where you live and work, you have Halo coverage.

We want to be clear about what that means: Halo is a mobile virtual network operator. We do not own cell towers. Your calls and data travel over AT&T's radio network. What Halo adds is the software and privacy layer on top: identifier rotation, SIM swap protection, network lock, secondary numbers, and secure global roaming.

Note
Being an MVNO does not change your privacy rights. As your carrier of record, Halo is bound by federal communications law, including the rules protecting your Customer Proprietary Network Information. See our Privacy Policy and Transparency Report.

How we make money

Halo is $99.99 per month, all in ($49.99 for the first 100 customers during our launch sale). That is the whole business model. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. When a company gives service away for free, you are usually the product. We would rather charge a fair price and keep our incentives pointed at you.

Who runs Halo

Halo is built and operated by a small US-based team at Block Apps LLC. We are a registered communications provider subject to federal and state carrier regulation, and we file the annual CPNI compliance certification that law requires.
